R156-60-304, R156-61-302h Learning Objectives - Defining Perception: Participants will better understand what perception is, how it functions, and the impact it has on a client's experience. - Self-Deception: Participants will explore and gain a better understanding of the role of perception in creating self-deception. - Communication Issues: Participants will learn to discern the role of perception in communication difficulties and break-downs. -Therapeutic Interventions: Participants will enhance their ability to facilitate effective therapeutic interventions with clients. A client's perception of themselves and the world around them is central to their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral experience. Despite this central role, however, perception is often unevaluated and left untreated. This training examines the role perception plays in a client's experience, along with effective intervention strategies to promote wellness.
