Renew was inspired by the desire to create a better service for couples. Of the hundreds of clinical models out there that positively support individuals, only a handful focus specifically on issues related directly to couples. Moreover, the average therapist has minimal training and experience using a therapeutic approach designed specifically for couples. Therefore, while many therapists advertise that they serve couples, most have minimal knowledge, training, and experience working with couples. This is a primary reason for the startling statistics of divorce, even when a high number of divorcees have participated in some form of marriage counseling. But don’t give up hope, this issue often has less to do with the couple’s compatibility and more with finding the right therapeutic service. In most cases healing is possible, and we are here to help.
