Compassionate Behavioral Health Support & Play Therapy from Licensed Experts

Child Therapy
& Counseling Services
At Renew Relationship Counseling, our specialized child therapy and child counseling services, provide a compassionate, safe environment where young minds can process difficult emotions, build resilience, and thrive. Led by our team of Utah-licensed mental health professionals—including LMFT, LCSW, and CMHC experts—we understand that children express their distress differently than adults. Our clinicians utilize evidence-based, developmentally appropriate modalities like play therapy and expressive techniques to meet children at their level. We look at a child's behavioral health through a systemic lens, actively partnering with parents to ensure that healing extends from our office directly into your daily home routines. We customize our approach to fit your child's unique emotional pacing and growth needs.
The Issues We Treat
We provide specialized, deeply supportive care for a wide range of childhood behavioral challenges, emotional roadblocks, and major life transitions. We help children and families navigate chronic anxiety, depression, school-related stress, and emotional dysregulation. Because our team consists of relationship and family experts, we frequently support young clients working through complex family adjustments, such as parental separation, divorce, relocation, and blending families. Additionally, we offer expert, trauma-informed interventions for children processing grief, sudden loss, bullying, or early childhood trauma. No matter what stressors your family is facing, our licensed child therapists provide the practical coping tools and emotional regulation skills necessary to help your child manage daily triggers, build self-esteem, and restore harmony at home.

Healing Through Play
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach specifically designed for children. It can be applied to children as young as age 3 up through about age 12. Because play is the universal language of children, play becomes a powerful medium for therapeutic support. Play therapy works by using a child’s natural language of play to help them express emotions, process difficult experiences, and build coping skills in a safe, therapeutic environment with a trained professional. You do not have to watch your child struggle with big feelings or behavioral challenges without professional guidance. If you are ready to help your child develop healthy emotional tools, overcome negative patterns, and invest in your family's collective peace, our intake team is ready to match you with the ideal therapist.
